I've been following a friend of a friend's journey with a tragic diagnosis for their baby girl. Unfortunately her battle ended yesterday, however this little one brought so much joy to their lives and we can only hope that this genetic disease which took her life, Spinal Muscular Atrophy-SMA is researched more and one day cured. My thoughts and prayers go out to Avery's family and all others who have been touched by this terrible disease.
